Rescheduled Middle School Dance, Fall Ball Details
The Middle School Fall Ball will take place on Friday, November 22nd from 5:00-7:00 PM. If students purchased tickets for the previous dance date, they will be given their this Thursday. If a student bought a ticket and cannot attend, they will need to let Ms. Franklin know for a refund. Students who have not yet purchased a ticket can do so from Ms. Franklin or a Student Council member. Tickets are $3 before the dance and $5 at the door. ONLY GVA STUDENTS will be allowed to attend the dance. This is a safety and security issue. Thank you for your cooperation.
IMPORTANT PLEASE READ
DROP-OFF When your child is dropped off for the dance, an adult must accompany each student into the building to sign-in the student and provide contact information. Every student must be checked-in with the name and phone number of the adult that will be picking them up from the dance at 7:00 pm.
PICK-UP Please pick your child up from the dance promptly at 7:00 pm. We recommend arriving at 6:50 to begin the checkout process as the line is often very long. Additionally, if you have not arrived to pick up your child by 7:15, you will be charged a $50 childcare fee as voluntary supervision ends at that time.
Enrollment Policy Change
GVA-N’s Board of Directors voted last week to amend our current enrollment policy for new, incoming students. The policy will no longer include a lottery system, but will instead enroll students based on their application date. The policy regarding siblings will remain the same; students with siblings that are currently enrolled will have priority while non-siblings will be accepted as they apply. We still highly encourage those with currently enrolled siblings to apply up to a year in advance to guarantee spots.
Fun Run Pizza Party Make-Ups
There were quite a few kids that missed the Fun Run Prize pizza party last week. I will be doing a “makeup” session this Thursday for those specific students. This prize is for students that raised $75 or more for the Fall Fun Run.

Baile reprogramado de la escuela secundaria, detalles del baile de otoño
El baile de otoño de la escuela intermedia tendrá lugar el viernes 22 de noviembre del 5 al 7. Si los estudiantes compraron entradas para la fecha de baile anterior, se les dará su este jueves. Cambio de política de inscripción
La Junta Directiva de GVA-N votó la semana pasada para enmendar nuestra política de inscripción actual para los nuevos estudiantes entrantes. La política ya no incluirá un sistema de lotería, sino que inscribirá a los estudiantes en función de la fecha de su solicitud. La política con respecto a los hermanos seguirá siendo la misma; los estudiantes con hermanos que están actualmente matriculados tendrán prioridad, mientras que los no hermanos serán aceptados cuando presenten su solicitud. Todavía alentamos a aquellos con hermanos actualmente inscritos a que presenten su solicitud con hasta un año de anticipación para garantizar las plazas.
Maquillaje Fun Party Pizza Run
Hubo bastantes niños que se perdieron la fiesta de pizza del Premio Fun Run la semana pasada. Haré una sesión de "maquillaje" este jueves para esos estudiantes específicos. Este premio es para estudiantes que recaudaron $ 75 o más para Fall Fun Run.
